With the intention of backing up the information of your company, QuickBooks will create a file to keep a copy of the necessary data. This file will be the base to restore all the information you need, in case you lose it under any kind of circumstances. This file is inside the Auto Data Recovery folder and to distinguish it from the rest, it has an adr extension at the end of its name, qbw.adr. This last three letter is what allow to identify this important file. It should never be deleted, or it would make a lot harder the process of restoring the data.
